Having just obtained her MBA with Distinction from the Harvard Business School, in Fall 2012 Clare will be launching a career in strategic human resource management at Citi. She hopes that her experience as a CPA in financial statement audit will help her bring a client service approach to this new role, and that she will be able to use the problem solving skills gained through her engineering studies to develop innovative HR solutions.

Clare grew up in the greater Boston area, attending The Winsor School and becoming a lifelong Red Sox fan. She then moved to Durham, NC to attend Duke University and obtained her Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering in 2006. Having decided to pursue public accounting - and wanting a taste of the "Left Coast" - after graduation, Clare moved to Los Angeles and attended the University of Southern California's Master in Accounting program (2007). She went on to spend 3 years in the Real Estate Audit Group at Ernst & Young in New York City, before returning to Boston to attend Harvard Business School in 2010. Despite her change in career, Clare maintains active CPA licenses in Massachusetts and New York.

When not studying or at work, Clare has always prioritized horseback riding - she has made great riding friends no matter where she has lived. Clare purchased Spice, in summer 2012 to both have fun with and as a sale prospect. Spice was born to a "PMU" mare and was rescued as a foal - Clare now takes every opportunity to inform others about the inhumane manufacturing process of the Pfizer drug, Premarin.
